In a privileged setting atop the Montgó hillside, this detached home opens towards the sea, embracing the panoramic views and the unmistakable breeze of Jávea’s bay. The project, spread across three levels, harmoniously interacts with the natural environment, blending into the native vegetation and preserving the historic terraced fields that echo the region’s agricultural heritage.
The design prioritises a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces, highlighted by an expansive terrace that culminates in a longitudinal pool running along the ground floor’s façade. Elevated above the Mediterranean garden, this pool acts as a visual axis, framing the horizon and enhancing the views of the sea.
The façade’s materiality features travertine and ceramic flooring, unifying interior and exterior spaces in a continuous gesture. Large floor-level windows capture the morning light, bathing the interiors in a serene and luminous atmosphere.
The home’s layout is distributed across three levels. On the ground floor, the main entrance is accessed through an impressive pivoting door, leading to a foyer with direct views of the vertical circulation core. This level houses a main open-plan living-dining-kitchen area that fully connects to the outdoors, a pantry, and a second, more intimate living-dining-kitchen space. It also includes two double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, three guest toilets, and terraces visually integrated with the pool.
The upper floor hosts the master suite, complete with a bespoke bathroom, a spacious walk-in wardrobe, and access to a private terrace with sea views. This floor also includes two additional en-suite bedrooms with shared terraces, ensuring constant connection to the surrounding landscape.
The basement features a light-filled English courtyard, illuminating the gym, sauna, and indoor pool, creating a space dedicated to relaxation and well-being. It also includes a climate-controlled wine cellar, a laundry area, a utility room, and two independent garage spaces.
Designed as a retreat that combines luxury and sustainability, this home celebrates the Mediterranean landscape through its respectful design and its focus on the connection between architecture and nature.
